Real Life Strikes Again
by Carl Cravens (raven @ phoenyx.net)
Well, we made it three issues before we missed a deadline. Then Real
Life decided to interfere. Brett, our Editor in Chief and the driving
force behind getting the previous issues published on time, took some
severe blows to his life in December and has temporarily left his
duties with the 'zine. The rest of us didn't learn about this until
after the deadline, and it took us a couple weeks to clear our own
schedules and assess the situation. Despite that, we've put together
an issue I think you'll like.
While being late with the first issue of the year doesn't seem to bode
well, I think the crisis has energized the staff and we're working
together as a team in a way we never have before. So we have a team
of editors, writers and technical people ready to crank out another
issue on time. Except we're not sure we have enough articles. We
haven't given up on Fudge Factor, and I hope you
haven't either. Keep those articles coming, folks!
If you've submitted an article recently and haven't heard back lately,
please send an email to
editor@fudgefactor .org to
inquire after it.
I think 2002 is going to be a good year for Fudge. The Fudge List is going
gang-busters, Grey
Ghost Games has a nice line-up scheduled, Rogue
Publishing has started releasing Fudge e-books. Maybe I'll
even finish the new Gramarye magic system this year.
